WPT organizers have announced the inclusion of new stops in the circuit. As part of the new schedule, two poker tournaments will be held next weekend in Indiana and Florida, with a buy-in of $1,500 and $5,000 respectively.

Besides, an event hosted by the Aviation Club in Paris has already been scheduled for February 2011 with a buy-in of $5,000. This event will be part of the National Series. Organizers will announce the addition of more tournaments and poker competitions in the near future.

The tournaments will be allowed to use the WPT branding but they will not have much in common with the World Poker Tour. For example, no points for the World Poker Tour will be given to players who take part in these tournaments and they will not have the opportunity to earn their seat in the World Championship either. Also, it has been decided that players in these poker tournaments will not play for the WPT bracelet.

The aim of these new tournaments is to compete with the European Poker Tour and the North American Poker Tour. Also, they will be tested as potential locations for future World Poker Tour tournaments.
