Portuguese player Fernando Brito has good chances of becoming the next Poker Player of the Year. He was helped by the fact that he won the final event of the European Poker Tour Prague. This victory at the the €1,000 Turbo Random Bounty event puts hime at the top of the ranking for the EPT best poker player of the year.
During this year, Brito won the €10,000 buy-in event in Vienna, in a heads up in which he beat Rob Hollink and won a prize of €90,000. The Portuguese businessman also ended sixth in the main event of the European Poker Tour London and took home £145,000.
In other news related to the EPT Prague, Swede poker player Nichlas Mattson faced Irish poker player John O’Shea in the final game of the €10,000 buy-in event and won €127,000. Besides, O’Shea finished in sixth place at the €1,000 mixed game event. Dario Alioto was the player who beat him.
Professional poker player Max Lykov claimed the top prize at the €1,000 event and won €24,400. He was the best player of a field of 67 players. Richard Gryko, a United Kingdom professional player, won the €3,200 Heads-Up event beating Russian player Nikolay Evdakov . He won €34,000.
